Privacy Policy
This page explains how this website handles information about the people who visit it. It describes what the site actually does, in plain language.
What this policy covers
This policy covers this website: the pages you are reading now. It explains what the site collects, what happens when you write or call, and what it does not do.
It does not cover how client information is handled once advocacy work begins. That is governed by the Professional Services Agreement and Client Handbook provided before any work starts.
What this website collects
When you submit the consultation form, this website collects your name, email address, optional phone number, and message to deliver your request to John. The site has no visitor accounts or advertising tools:
- No analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers.
- Pageview counts through PostHog, as described below.
- No advertising and no advertising networks.
- No form interaction tracking or session recordings.
- No visitor accounts, logins, or profiles.
Pages are prepared ahead of time and served as finished pages. Typefaces are loaded from this site’s own files. Images and video may be delivered by Sanity’s media CDN, which receives the ordinary technical request information needed to serve those files. The consultation form sends what you enter only when you submit it; the website does not save message contents to a database or write them to application logs.
Information you choose to send
You can choose to contact John in three ways:
- The consultation form. Submitting it sends your name, email address, optional phone number, and message to this website’s server. The server passes those details to Resend, an email delivery service, to email your request to John. You do not need an email application to use the form.
- Email. Writing to John reaches his email account directly.
- Phone. Calling reaches John’s phone directly.
Form submissions travel through the website’s server, Resend, and John’s email provider. Direct emails travel through your email provider and John’s, and calls travel through your phone carrier and his. These services process information to deliver your message or call.
Please do not include diagnoses, medical records, insurance numbers, or other sensitive health information in an initial message. A short note saying you would like to talk is enough to start.
How your information is used
What you send is used to get back to you about the help you are asking for, and to work out whether John is the right person for your situation. That is the whole purpose.
It is not used for marketing lists, newsletters, advertising, or automated profiling. There is no mailing list to join here, and none to leave.
Sharing and selling
DJB Advocacy LLC does not sell your information. It does not rent or trade it, and it does not share it for advertising of any kind.
What you send is read by John. Form submissions pass through the website’s server, Resend, and John’s email provider. Direct emails and phone calls pass through the email providers or phone carriers on each end.
John does not contact your doctors, your hospital, or your insurer on your behalf without your written authorization, or verbal permission that the provider accepts.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Public-page analytics does not store visitor identifiers in cookies, local storage, or session storage. A random identifier is held only in the page’s memory and is not kept when you reload or leave the site. Administrative tools and draft previews are separate from public-page analytics and may use cookies needed for editing.
If your browser enables Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site does not initialize its pageview analytics.
Analytics
This website uses PostHog to count visits to its public pages. It sends the page’s address without query strings or fragments, an event time, and a temporary random identifier. It does not send referring-page addresses, contact form contents, clicks, or session recordings to PostHog, and does not create visitor profiles or recognize returning visitors across page loads. These counts help John understand which pages are used.
PostHog receives ordinary network request information, including your IP address, when your browser contacts its service. The site disables IP-based location enrichment. Analytics is disabled in Studio and draft previews. PostHog’s handling of information is described in its privacy policy.
Hosting and server logs
Every website is delivered to you by a web host, and web hosts normally keep their own technical records of the requests they serve — an IP address, a browser type, the page asked for, the time. Those records come from running a server at all, not from anything built into this site.
This policy does not name a host, and it does not describe any host’s logging practices. If that changes, this section will name the host and point to that host’s own policy.
Two things hold either way. DJB Advocacy LLC does not use server logs for analytics, advertising, or tracking. And while most of this site is prepared ahead of time, a few requests are still handled as they arrive — including consultation form submissions and photographs sized to suit your screen — so those requests can appear in a host’s ordinary technical logs. The website’s application code does not log the contents of form submissions.
Links to other websites
Third-party sites linked from this website, including professional directory listings, are maintained by those organizations, and their content is not controlled by DJB Advocacy LLC. The footer of every page here links to John’s Greater National Advocates profile.
Those organizations set their own privacy practices and may collect information when you visit them. Following a link takes you somewhere this policy no longer applies, so it is worth reading theirs when you get there.
Security, and its limits
The website processes the information you submit to deliver it to John. It does not keep a database of consultation requests, but the information passes through services that handle and may retain it. No website or email service can guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
Forms, email, and voicemail travel through services neither you nor John controls, and can be intercepted, misdelivered, or read on a device that is not yours. No website can promise otherwise, and this one does not. That is why the contact page asks you to keep sensitive health details out of a first message, and why arrangements for handling records are made directly with John once work begins.
How long information is kept
The website does not save consultation form contents to a database or application logs. Resend and the email providers that deliver and receive messages may retain information according to their own practices.
A form submission delivered by email stays in John’s email account. A direct email also stays in your sent folder. A voicemail stays in his phone system. Those messages remain until they are deleted in the ordinary course of running a practice. This page does not set a fixed retention schedule.
If you would like a message you sent to be deleted, ask John. Deletion from his account does not necessarily remove copies retained by delivery services under their own practices.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults arranging care for themselves or for someone in their family. It is not directed to children.
If you believe a child has sent information through the form or to the email address on this site, please get in touch using the details below so John can delete it from his records.
Your choices and your rights
You have choices about the information you choose to share:
- You can read every page on this site without giving anything.
- You can fill in the consultation form and leave without submitting it.
- You can ask John what he holds from you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask that it be deleted.
California residents. DJB Advocacy LLC does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California privacy law.
Residents of the EU and the UK. If you write from the EU or the UK, the only information involved is what you chose to put in your message, used only to get back to you about it. You may ask to see it, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be erased.
Whether any particular privacy law applies here is a legal question this page does not try to settle. Either way the outcome is the same: write or call, say what you want done, and John will handle it himself.
Confidentiality of client information
This page covers the website only. Confidentiality of client information is governed by the Professional Services Agreement and Client Handbook provided before advocacy work begins. Those documents, not this page, define how client information is handled during advocacy, including how records are received and how permission to speak with your care team is obtained.
Changes to this policy
This policy will change when the website changes — if a host is named, for instance, or if the site ever adds something it does not have today. The date below shows when it was last revised. Changes are made on this page rather than announced separately, so it is worth a fresh look if it has been a while.
Questions about privacy
Ask John. There is no privacy department and no ticket system here — questions go to him directly. Call 513-673-6987 or email John@DJBAdvocacy.com.

A calm first conversation
You do not have to navigate this alone.
Tell John what is happening. He will listen, explain whether advocacy may be a fit, and outline a clear next step.
